Eric Bachelet

CEO, CFM International

Eric Bachelet is President and Chief Executive Officer of CFM International (CFM), a 50/50 joint company of Snecma (SAFRAN Group) and General Electric Company.  CFM, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, is the world’s leading manufacturer of jet engines for transport aircraft.
 
In this position, Mr Bachelet is responsible for overall results of CFM56 engine programmes, including performance of the joint company, development of the worldwide market, negotiation of sales and customer satisfaction.
 
Mr Bachelet graduated from the Ecole des Mines de Paris and holds a master’s degree in Materials Science from Case Western Reserve University in the United States.
 
Mr Bachelet joined Snecma in 1971 and successively worked in the engineering division and manufacturing division. In 1996, he was promoted to General Manager of FAMAT. In 2001, he became Chief Executive Officer of Snecma Propulsion Solide, and in 2003, became Chief Executive Officer of Aircelle. He assumed his current role in September 2005
