StB Campaign Results: Your feedback in action!

Obtaining the industry's feedback is a critical part of IATA's role to drive the industry to Simplify the Business. Through continuous dialogue between stakeholders and their local StB representatives, IATA keeps a close watch on progress made and emerging needs to better assist the industry.

In the first half of 2007, approximately 304 airlines were engaged to learn about their plans and status for ET, IATA e-freight Message Improvement Programme (MIP) and RFID. IATA takes the industry's feedback seriously and shapes its support activities based on it.

We urge you to please engage with your local StB representative so that we can better assist you. Find out what we learned from our recent campaigns under each project section below.

Currently, IATA is conducting a Campaign to learn the plans of Airports for BCBP and CUSS. We will be sharing with you the results by end of July.

Identifying challenges for ET issuance

IATA has created an ET airport map that displays airports that seem to be a challenge to ET issuance. It marks where ET capable airlines have a zero or very low use of ETs for passengers with flights departing from these stations. There may be various reasons for this, but it often relates to difficulties airlines are having in getting a Ground Handling service which meets their ET requirements.

Each station on the map had two to nine ET capable airlines with each issuing less than 10% ET for passengers departing from that station in April 2007. Only airlines issuing at least 1,000 total coupons departing from the station were included.

As you work to increase your ET penetration, please use this map to anticipate that certain stations may prove difficult for launching ET.
