What are the advantages of having the IATA ID Card?

I have a hard copy of the Application Form for the IATA ID Card. Can I make photocopies of the form for use by other agents?

I have an IATA ID Card which is due to expire in a couple of months. When should I send in my renewal notice so that I am sure to receive my renewal ID card before my current one expires?
- Renewal notices are sent out to IATA ID cardholders 2 months prior to the expiry date. Because of the time required to process the renewal card and return it to the cardholder, the cardholder is encouraged to send back their completed renewal form as soon as this is received. The new expiry date will be calculated on the basis of the current expiry date, no matter how much earlier than the current expiry date the renewal card is issued.
