Route Area Statistics (RAS) is a monthly collection of traffic and capacity data for passengers (in the form of RPK, ASK and PTK), freight and mail (in the form of FTK and MTK) and combined (in the form of RTK and ATK). Traffic and capacity data is collected from individual airlines and aggregated according to routes between and within IATA designated route areas.
RAS is a PRIVATE collection retricted to participating airlines. If you want to participate in the data collection, please go to our Monthly Statistics work group page.
IATA's wealth of historical RAS data, dating back to 1988, permits us to offer valuable tailor-made reports to industry decision-makers. If you are not an airline but wish to learn more about our services please visit our customised analysis & statistical services.
Alternatively, summary RAS data is available publicly through IATA's monthly Route Tracker publication (PDF format).
