IATA e-freight expands in the USA
On October 26th, four American airports became e-freight live for imports, increasing the penetration of paper-free air cargo in the USA. Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas and Atlanta all began accepting e-freight consignments, bringing faster, more reliable and environmentally friendly air cargo to these markets.
Across the Pacific, ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) aims to standardize 15 documents involved in air cargo shipments, including the invoice and packing list. For these two documents, ASEAN have based their designs on the IATA e-freight electronic document standards.
