Europe is all about BCBP
Bar coded boarding pass capability in Europe passed 80% this month, as airlines and airports in the region increase their BCBP adoption ahead of the 100% end 2010 mandate.
Several airports and airlines have recently become 100% BCBP, most of them in Europe:
Airports:
- Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport (TLL)
- Taoyaun International Airport, Taipei (TPE)
Airlines:
- Adria Airways
- Montenegro Airlines
- Finncomm Airlines
“Congratulations to these airlines and airports on achieving 100% BCBP over a year ahead of the industry mandate,” said Eric Léopold, BCBP Project Manager. “These organisations are taking full advantage of the BCBP business case, which includes industry savings of US$1.5 billion every year.”
