International civil aviation, and the controls applied on passengers and cargo moving through the world's airports, have changed dramatically in recent years. With traffic rebounding strongly after the recent downturn, new approaches to facilitate legitimate traffic and trade are more necessary than ever before.
This course examines the regulatory framework that forms the foundation of all facilitation efforts, the roles of ICAO, IATA and other organisations, best practices, and emerging technologies that seek to build upon the need to streamline and harmonise national clearance and control policies.
Making use of a clearer perspective of agreed best practices and enhanced understanding of the roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders in the Air Transport chain, participants will be able to apply their newly acquired knowledge in the development and presentation of an actual Facilitation Programme.
