Need Help?
With double digit traffic growth, long haul flights, and new generation aircraft, Air Traffic Management (ATM) needs to be efficient, globally harmonized and interoperable to achieve on-time operations, predictability, and low carbon footprint.
IATA works with its member airlines, industry stakeholders, international organizations and ICAO to develop global ATM standards and accelerate the implementation of operational improvements enabled by Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) technologies. We advocate for a cost-effective roll out of CNS technologies that is supported by airline requirements and a positive cost-benefit analysis. We also work with governments and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) to ensure the protection of the aviation spectrum.
