Commercial Fuel Group (CFG)


Reporting to the IATA Financial Committee, the Commercial Fuel Group (CFG) provides oversight and direction to further the interests of IATA member airlines in all aspects of aviation fuel. Standing objectives of the CFG include ensuring reliable fuel supply at international airports; eliminating unnecessary duties, fees & taxes; and promoting open, competitive, market-based pricing for fuel and related services.

Composition

The CFG is comprised of a Chair, Vice Chair and eight Panel Directors from IATA member airlines representing specific geographic regions to provide global coverage. Panel members are elected by Commercial Fuel Group representatives from IATA member airlines and serve a two-year term.

Assisting the CFG in their activities is the Fuel Suppliers Advisory Panel (FSAP), which is comprised of five representatives from companies participating as Registered Fuel Suppliers in the IATA Partnership Programme. FSAP members are elected by the Registered Fuel Supplier community and serve a two-year term.

Commercial Fuel Group meetings

IATA conducts two Commercial Fuel meetings each year to address current issues, improve working knowledge and provide networking opportunities for aviation fuel professionals. Participation at Commercial Fuel meetings is open and free of charge to IATA member airlines, Registered Fuel Suppliers in the IATA Strategic Partnerships and upon special invitation from IATA.

The next Commercial Fuel meeting is scheduled for 20-22 May in Athens, Greece as part of the Aviation Fuel Forum.

A private website is available to IATA member airlines and registered Fuel Suppliers to monitor current activities, receive information on current & upcoming events and to access reports & documents.
