Safety Data Management and Analysis (SDMA)

IATA Safety Data Management and Analysis (SDMA) activities are a part of IATA's Six-point Safety Programme. The programme provides members with a wealth of safety information and acts as a gateway to the STEADES (Safety Trend Evaluation, Analysis & Data Exchange System) Programme.

STEADES is a database that hosts de-identified incident reports from participating organisations. The data is analysed to identify trends and areas of potential concern (e.g., common and repeated operational events) giving both IATA and participants an overview of industry performance and standards, contributing to risk assessment. For more information, please visit the IATA STEADES site.

The information for SDMA members is available on the Safety Private Site (extranet).
